So I'm sure a lot of people have experienced this before or are experiencing it now. I've tried to figure it out myself and have come up with a few answers but I figured I would  hear what others think or believe, so my question is ...

Why is it that when an applicant contacts the local recruiting office by email or phone call and even leaves a message they are ignored. Not a single reply or answer. Why the no respond ?

Just another question:  When are you trying to contact the Recruiting Office?  Is it the CFRC or a Reserve Recruiter?  Is it during working hours, or after hours or on a weekend or holiday?

OK....A few more:  How long ago did you try?  Did you give a reasonable amount of time to await a return call?  Have you checked your answering machine/email is operating correctly/correct address?

If you fail to give a correct phone number, don't expect a call.  If you screwed up your email address, don't expect a reply.  If it is not during the Recruiter's normal working hours, don't expect them to reply.  If you tried to contact the wrong person, don't expect them to reply, unless they are an extremely accommodating person.

Reg force. Local recruiting office. Everything is working correctly Email/phone number. People that are being contacted are people that have been in touch with before and have given business cards with phone number with extensions and direct email address. During business hours Monday - Friday (not holidays)  8 a.m -3 p.m  Wait about 3 weeks in between each contact.  And ya maybe I or others should go in in person at this point to get and "update" but that still does not answer the question as to why they don't respond to people.

Several factors could contribute to this.  Such as, who your CFRC is (some are better than others at returnings calls/emails), how busy they are and or just who the individual is that you are trying to contact (they might not be available and or your file has been passed to someone else).

It's a coin toss...

The main reason I managed to get in contact was because I (with help from a little bird) tracked down a specific individual recruiter's contact info. Had I been calling the main line to the recruiting office I have no idea where I'd be now.

EDIT: Ah, re-read. Apparently you've been contacting individuals. Never mind.
