Hey everyone,

I'm afraid to ask a question in case the answer has already been given, but here goes anyways ... I was just wondering on average how long does it take from when you send in your application to when you start doing your testing? I'm excited to start the process! And if the question was already asked, sorry.

Hello Melissa and welcome to the site,

Thanks for your interest in the Canadian Army. Your best bet is to contact your local Canadian Forces Recruiting Centre, as they have the most up to date information, and can answer all of your questions. Just look in the yellow pages under "Recruiting" to find the centre closest to you.

As far as this site, though, you can find additional information on Recruiting at http://Army.ca/info/recruiting.php, including access to a "Recruiting" forum where you can ask questions about what to expect. There's also a Recruiting FAQ, where many common questions have been answered, including this one, I think.

That should give you a good start, but the Recruiting centres are really the best place for up to date information, especially in a "how long?" type question - as there are a bunch of variables.

Cheers and good luck.

Hi Melissa,

Try this link --> http://forums.army.ca/forums/threads/13064/post-319710.html#msg319710 to get an idea of processing times from beginning to end.
Other than that, I'd recommend giving the the CFRC a call and do some gentle prodding. It brings your file to the top of their pile (it's all computerized from what I understand..but, hey) and the front of their mind, and you may find they are waiting to obtain more information from you before they can move forward.
Also keep in mind they may be trying to co ordinate your testing/interview so it can all be done in one visit since your CFRC is a bit of a trek for you.

A bit of a trek ... you know it's more than a bit of a trek  ;) I just love living here lmao But anyways, I already found my answer just after I posted but thanks anyways PS. We have to get together before you leave for ST Jean! Thanks for the feedback tho  ;D
