Well worth a read.

But only because it's a "warm and fuzzy peacekeeping" kind of story.  I'm genuinely surprised that they didn't blame NATO for all the injuries and even the pregnancy!

If the newsie is willing to describe our work as peacekeeping - ish, I don't mind.
Our ultimate goal is to bring peace to the country... in part by force of arms.

There was a "human interest" type story on the CTV news last week about the hospital at KAF.  It was pretty interesting but I cannot seem to find a link to a video of it.

She came in to the hospital to recover from blast injuries, and then gives birth to her child there. Hopefully the child will grow up knowing the story and that Canadians helped her and her family when in need, perhaps that child will one day grow up to be someone one influential and will want to build stronger bonds between our countries. I wonder if in 2050 Canadian Vets will visit Kandahar and get the same kind of welcome as Holland gave?
