Kanye West gave a performance that will never be forgotten at the MTV Video Music Awards, but unfortunately for him, it had nothing to do with his music.

The rapper stormed on stage to unleash an astonishing rant during an acceptance speech by country starlet Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards last night.

The 19-year-old singer, who was collecting Best Female Video for You Belong To Me, was left humiliated as West snatched the microphone from her hands.
He turned to the audience and shouted that the gong should have gone to his big friend Beyonce, for Single Ladies.

Typical of those who feel they are "entitled".

The music inudstry has been hijacked by the rap & hip hop crowd.
 
No kidding.  These thugsters need to meet up with a few hundred hawg ridin' good ol' boy ZZ Top fans, and have meaninful discussion on the definition of "attitude".

Or they could pull a page from Rolling Stones' history and get the Hells Angels to do security.  They may be brutal, but when all was said and done, Mr. Jagger, Mr. Richards, Mr. Wyman, Mr. Watts and Mr. Taylor all survived that concert.  Not so Meredith Hunter, but hey, he had a gun!  >:D
 
At least Beyonce showed some class and called Taylor Swift out when she won an award so Taylor could fifnish her acceptance speech

Too bad that they didn't have sniper overwatch that night. It would have been hugely satisfying to see him tumble backwards in a cloud of pink mist. :nod:
 
I agree, the boo's he rec'd at the awards for the rap artist thing (when p. diddy was speaking) wasn't satisfying enough (Wha, was it something i said) LOL
 
Kanye West is a prick and an arsehole. Is his behavior any surprise? Nope. Ban him from the MTV awards, done.

Who are Kayne West and Taylor Swift?  And why do they matter?

Perhaps if more people were as ignorant as me, these individuals wouldn't be provided a public stage upon which to perform their antics.

Kayne West is a rap artist, the self styled "voice of his generation", who has a habit of acting like a complete jerk at times.

Taylor Swift is a 19 year old waif of a country music artist, who probably should have clocked Kanye over the head with that award that she had just won.

Regardless, jackasses will always find a way to be jackasses on television. Personally, I blame Philo Farnsworth.

Man that made for some great television. Not for him saying that the president doesn't care about black people. Moreso for how bloody uncomfortable it made Mike Myers look after he said it. Hilarious!
