I think he is actually playing the chords, but since ther are drums playing as well I think there was some creative editing going on. At first it sounds more like a synthesizer than a guitar.

I don't know guys....the first guy sounds like he's playing along with a Joe Satriani tune from a few years ago.

Is he even plugged in?

If he's the real thing then he's going to be on the charts real soon.
