They probably do. That's not the point.Redundant, pointless and stupid. Animals grow animal cells best
Cigarettes next, then - I'm told they're not very good for you, either, right?Yep.

And if you think "made meat" is a hard sell here in North America: "Study: What Factors Influence Consumer Acceptance of Cultivated Meat in Italy?"
FTFY... the government has become thedealeraddict ...
You said “false advertising”. You didn’t talk about safety. I already addressed safety in my earlier reply. If food safety is satisfied, don’t still contend it should be banned from sale entirely?Actually we do ban products for that. Check the Food and Drugs Act and Safe Food for Canadians Regulations.
They are thick books and are frequently revised.

Government is addicted to sin taxes - governments are addicted to taxes - period.Cigarettes are bought against advice. As are alcohol and cannabis.
But in all cases the government has become the dealer. Given that the government is also in the numbers game and the protection racket about the only illicit activity they haven't co-opted is prostitution.
. . . All food ultimately comes from a field in which animals, birds and fish crap. . . .
Herein lies the problem:Well, we can look at the science ....
... but, oh - wait, more science![]()

Beyond Beef clearly labels itself as plant based. That is not lab grown meat, that has no animal DNA, and that is not what some states have banned.I think one of the mistakes the industry made when products such as 'Beyond Beef' came on the market was using the terms 'meat' or beef'
Unless it had been grown in a lab/factory and had never been in a field in which things crap.
That seems to be a bit of an hysterical take. But then it's not food. It's an experiment and you're the guinea pig.

The “lab grown meat” is genetically cow muscle grown through some industrial bio-proces.
That seems to be a bit of an hysterical take.
But if that is your take, I assume that means you don't eat poultry or eggs because they generally don't bread & raise chickens outside any more.
The problem arises with just putting the word on the package and then putting on display along side the product it is designed to replace.
I am in the game and I regularly end up bringing home a look-a-like analog when I wanted the full-fat experience.
That sounds like a "you" problem rather than an "it" problem.
Why is the question.....the current method has worked for eons.. The explicit aim is to create replacement products, not alternates.
