Leave - mbr has none left

What's a base duty centre? I dont think we have those in Halifax...

You don’t have a base HQ? With a base CWO that runs a base duty for POs and likely a non commissioned member? Duty centre would usually be the office that duty NCO / PO works at.

There is that... But you can establish a pattern and take administrative action with that.
Did that once. Allowable Sick days were always Fridays and mondays and consistant every month. So told to go to the mir. Got time off here and there until they refused to give the member any more because they were abusing the system. Then had to actually show up. Member was advised that when the CO was posted out that he was leaving as well (ending his class b contract)

Side note, is there security on ships in port? If so who's responsible for it?
Yes there is a duty watch aboard ship 24/7. But I wasn't referring to ships, I was referring to place like the recruiting center, the school, base admin, etc.

Don’t know about the rest but we closed the CFRC over Xmas leave

What's stopping a unit from having said member with no leave being responsible to open and close the building during those two weeks, or whatever days they have to work? You could even have them show up for PT then dismiss themselves for the day afterwards if you're feeling particularly giving.

We had people come in once a day, which weren’t holidays, to check the hangars for water leaks, clean fuel spills, etc. They were locals anyway and essentially got free time off for an hour day of “work”.

Sounds like an MO we had in one unit I was in - was always a Monday and Friday...should have seen the AJAG file on them when they were going to be court martialed for dereliction, AWA, etc - 3 x 4" binders thick of depositions/testimony...including mine.

Yea I don't understand how their supervisor would have approved them burning up the last of their leaving knowing that Christmas usually requires 2-6 days (depending on unit and the members desires).

And how did they actually use all 5 "family obligation days" (actually called "Short Leave(Family-related obligations)"? For many of those occasions for which that leave is warranted, supervisors simply "let their members go". I don't think I've ever seen or heard of people using/receiving this type of leave.

What's "admin time for 'RV'?
Rendez-vous aka appointments.

If a person has used all their leave, then they don’t get any more leave.
Now what about situations between now till March 31
Was all the leave used as part pf a plan, or this member have problems in their personal life that have been causing them to consume leave at a faster rate? If the former, then you don’t have a problem and the member just doesn’t get more leave. If the latter, then that might be a red flag that chain of command needs to intervene to resolve whatever is going on outside of work.

The case I alluded to was an a Admin Clk Cpl when I was a Directorate Sgt Maj at NDHQ. Said member always called in sick on a Monday after a certain NFL team had played poorly the night before.
