One topic that don't seem to come up. (I hope I posted in the right place)

Life after the CF.
Is it as easy as they say after severing your time in the CF to find employment?
I ask because I was kinda wondering what happens after time severed when your still a young age in your 30 or 40 something like that.

Why would you want to get out? At 30 or 40 you still have 20 years you can put in????

You may be able to serve more, but if you joined at 18, at 38 you can retire with a 40% pension and work another full-time job.  So for some it is an ideal situation.

But to answer the original question, with all the access to second career planning and education benefits to the soldier now, I personally think that for most people finding meaningful work after the military easy.

Well all things given.

I asked because if someone enlists in the trades say Electrical Distribution 642 and spends 15 years in the army and for some reasons just says that they have had enough and leaves, do they leave their trade behind as well, will they have to go to school and log there 9000 hours of work and do their apprentice ship?? Or can they leave and just go out and start doing electrical work legal as a qualified and certified electrical. The same example can be asked of welders, woodworks, etc....
This might sound like a stupid question but I don't often see or hear of anyone from a military background out working in the trades. I can't well say that I look if it but I would think that they (people with a military backing) would kinda stand out (good work ethics, always good a person to deal with, etc..)

Us trades types can apply for tickets in the civvie world that have to do with the trade we're in.  Lots of guys in the CE sect have civvie tickets already and they are planning a long prosperous career outside the forces.  Some of our courses are even taught at civilian institutions on the outside.
Hope it helps.
