I've been searching the boards for awhile now... I've read countless post that the application process takes awhile and it could even go on for years   :(

So on 08/11/04 I went down to my recruiting center expecting them to say, "Alright, thanks for the application will give you a call and scheduale your CFAT."

I went to the recruiting center handed in my application, the officer said, "Can you come in tomorrow and do your CFAT?" Of course I said sure and was amazed.

Yesterday did my CFAT did all that other paper work (security forms, subtances form, ect.) Then they asked me to come in on 08/16/04 to do my PT! (becuase on Fridays they don't do PT's and then there's the weekened).

I was just wondering if they had changed the way they do the whole process thing? Cause if it keeps it up at this rate i'll be in BMQ in no time! I hope everyelse's process goes as smoothly.

Good Luck Guys

The stuff you've done isn't what takes so long. It could take a while for your security check to go through, then you've got to wait for the merit board to sit and decide if they want you or not, then you wait for a job offer. I did all that stuff in a week too, I was also scheduled for my aircrew medical in Toronto, 6 months later I was enrolled.

Cheers

Yeah I am applying as a DEO, I went in with everything filled out and my reference letters and transcripts.  They booked me for everything two weeks later including the officer interview(this upcoming tuesday)...

I did all my NCM stuff in a week. Aptitude test, interview, fitness, and so on... then i waited a month for my med file and secuirty check, i was merit listed a few days ago and on the bottom of my file was a comment saying job offer or something like that so the recruiter checked with the clerk handling my file and the clerk said for the recruiter to tell me that i have the job but wait 2 weeks for a date and he said act surprised when he calls.

the clerk also said i was advanced standing and need not worry about time, he said to prepare.

so... i guess its all based on timing, when u applied, amount of ppl competing with etc...

good luck  :army:

Woah...I handed everything in on the 10th, and was told that I will recieve a call in September. You're pretty lucky!
