Hello to all of you!
I'm a Canadian living in Greece and I have dual citizenship.
I've already made the on line application because I really want
to move back to Canada join the CF and start a new life there.
Being away from Canada and not having a recruiting office here
(the Canadian Embassy in Athens doesn't have a Military Attache)
it's kind of hard to get all the information that I want through Internet
and through phone.
I want to know how much time does it get after the online application
to be ok and call someone to go and give all the tests that are mandatory
so he can be accepted to the CF?
On the phone they told me that this procedure might even take up to 18 months,
is that true?
Living in Greece for over 10 years I joined the Greek army (In Greece all Greek men
must go to the army for 9 months) and I became a Military Police Sergeant.
I hope that won't be a problem (that I've already been to the army of another country),
furthermore Greece is a NATO member country.
I must say that I have a bachelor in Accounting and I'm fluent in French,English and Greek.
Will those things help me with the application?
Sorry for all my questions but I found by accident this amazing forum and I'm really
looking forward to clear all those things in my mind.
Thanks in advance...Nick
