Looking for Info on Family Member

Hi
I'm looking for information on a J.A.F Rivest b. abt 1920 Montreal (I think) served in WWII as Lance Corp Canadian Army Reg No: D 57343 in the La Regiment Maisonneuve.
Married whilst stationed in England in Eastbourne, Sussex to M.Ross. His father was Albert Rivest, living in Montreal in 1843  worked as a Boot & Shoe Repairer.
We believe he returned home to Canada after the war in 1945. His wife and daughter  ( b 1943 in Bristol, England) went to Canada in 1946.

Any further information would be most helpful.
