Wanted to stop in and firstly wish you all a happy new year and hope everyone had a good christmas. I was employed as a sec 2ic or section commander at times depending on how many Sgts there were....lol Yep,old school section drilld with C1 and C2's and those huge 7 men sections at times. I am currently working as a nursing orderly at the London Health Science Centre (old Vic) in the Emergency Dept and have been since 87. I never knew how much Infantry skills would stay with me,but in the past year and a half have been pepper sprayed twice and had a knife pulled on me,i'll take the CS Gas over that stuff any day,the pepper spray knocks you on your butt quick. The hospital needed somebody who could repell off of the roof, load a carl G,put on cam paint, walk in a staright line and put on a field dressing (what timeing)..lol
Anyways all the best to you all and to all the new troops and those currently serving overseas,at home or doing those big field exercises that we did in wainwright and suffielld (if you still do...remembering RV 85 and 87) keep up the good work and we all are very proud of the work you are all doing,no matter if your armoured, infantry etc....keep your chins up and be proud of who you are and the job you are doing,we are!
