( I searched, and saw, a topic related to this, but it seems to be locked. It is also more than four years old, so I started a new topic. )

July 7, 2010:
"Anthony Hanemaayer spent nearly two years in prison before it eventually emerged he was innocent — a witness was wrong, and notorious killer Paul Bernardo confessed to the crime in 2005.
Now Hanemaayer has launched a $1.1 million lawsuit for damages resulting from being convicted of breaking and entering and assault with attempt to rape, his lawyers announced Wednesday.":

But the guilty plea.  Perhaps they could send him to jail for 2 years for perjury.

Sorry, about that.
I tried to remove, but the message says, "You cannot delete your own topics in this board."

That wasn't meant for you, just stating a fact.

Thanks!  :) I misunderstood!

Well, if I were him and 100% certain of my innocence, I wouldn't care remotely what my lawyer said and would plead not guilty.  Call me cruel but if you plead guilty for a crime you didn't commit, you don't get a payday.
