After Transfer of Care ( TOC ), hospital security took over. If required.

What I have noticed in recent years, as a visitor, is the dramatic increase in the number of hospital security guards.

Also, looking younger and stronger than the hospital security guards of yesteryear.

A lot of the young Indian security guards are also doing school as well. I know several that do double shifts to make money and study on quiet graveyard shifts.

I've always thought that for tsunami to gain height and momentum, it had to travel for some distance in the open ocean. Should a quake centre within the islands, in the confines of the straight, would it be able to generate the speed and momentum required to create the tidal wave we expect from these things?

Given the right conditions, the answer is yes, but the wave may not be as massive, but still destructive.
