This is basically my story: I applied for the army in 2023 and passed everything with flying colors until I submitted my medical. I had a kidney stone in 2018 and because of that I did not meet the medical requirements (i would have if i waited another year because of the 5 year no stone requirement).

I submitted my appeal in November 2024 after waiting an extra year with relevant images and a doctor consult note. I haven't heard any updates since. I followed up with the recruiting office and they told me they haven't heard back from Ottawa.

I just want to know, based on your experience with appeals, approximately how long does it take to get a response?

The Recruit Medical Office often rmoves at the speed of molasses crawling uphill in the dead of winter - simply put, it's can take months, depending on their staffing and how many cases there are ahead of you in the dreaded pile as well as the condition in question.
