Name of the video is dumb, but the rest of it is pretty good.

News crew follows some ETT Marines an goes over some of the problems they face with the ANA

From what Ive come to understand from folks who've been over is that there are some really bad units of ANA and some that are somewhat switched on....seems like the Kandak featured in the video was one of those really bad ones.

Im sure people who have experience in an OMLT overseas can comment on that further.

Here is another video of the ANA....

Jaws pretty much. I lived with some ANA for a lil over 3 months an did some patrolling with them. Theres ones that are very switched on an want to be there an fight, etc an get pissed off at the slackers who couldn't give a f*ck.  An the ANA that aren't that good are pretty bad.. smoking up in their OPs, not ready to go on patrol.. even refusing to go on patrol or essentially shutting 'er down on patrol(no covering arcs, chatting, laying down, etc at a stop). Their own leadership has a lot to do with it.. one Platoon Commander I saw seemed to what to be everyones friend kind of thing an was pretty relaxed an wasn't enforcing any kind of discipline an after a mortar attack he didn't want to go on patrol an provoke the Taliban to attack us again.  But as soon as a new Platoon Commander was brought in an some of the slackers got moved to another Company an new guys brought in they did better. Being ready for patrol, wearing full uniforms an helmets, etc
