I've just been chatting with Sig_Des, and he wanted me to post and let you all know that he has arrived safely and is playing nicely with the rest of the kids and sharing his shovel and pail.

Good to see that the smilin' fool made it.  We had a coffee together on his out and was looking forward to this trip.
I will see him again on his way home and have beer ready this time.

Thanks Mich. I ran into Des outside NDHQ on Thursday, the day before he headed out. He seemed pretty eager to head off.

Yup I haven't even touched a radio yet...just other equipment.

Things are a bit surreal here, survived my first rocket attack. In fact, I was more worried about hoping my roomate would get his pants on for it....

Things are good, and I've met up with a couple of buds of mine. Thanks to all for the well wishes.
