I was contacted this morning by a gentleman in Australia who will be visiting Vancouver in the next few weeks. He requested information on military book stores and military museums. If anyone can help, his email address is [email protected]

Off hand I'd highly recommend the Seaforth Highlanders Regimental Museum as well as the Royal Westminster Regimental Museum. I think he'd do fine to visit most of the Lower Mainland units to find some great historical information on local units as well as subject matter experts in each location who could answer some questions.

Victoria has a lotmore places that sell militaria collectables than Vancouver..Also a visit to  Ft Rodd Hill http://www.fortroddhill.com/. The Westie museum has public hours but the Seaforth museum is by request  or at least it was.  The Curator Lt /Col Vance CD just passed away and I don't know who took it over.  And here are some more places:
http://www.navalandmilitarymuseum.org/
http://www.12servicebattalion.com/museum.htm  If he travels to Vernon they have a display about the Vernon military camp.

Hope this helps
