Threats will be taken seriously and investigated under recently enhanced Canadian hate crimes legislation.
I suppose he could be. He's probably not using an amplifier, though, and probably not an organized religion outside the confines of his shirt and pants.so the street preacher i see every friday afternoon on my way home from work should be arrested for noise complaints?
Or probably people who are naive. You go on being exquisitely liberal; I'll go on advocating measures to make sure Canada is the kind of place you can be that way and settle for being just overwhelmingly liberal.probably people who aren't bigots
Is there a point your books where it would it be too much?
9 minutes and more than one day.
So some level of public preaching is ok? or is it just because he's a christian? He's probably not using an amplifier, though, and probably not an organized religion outside the confines of his shirt and pants.

Ok so when radical Islam roots itself in your town remember what we are saying. And if I’m labeled a troll so be it.so the street preacher i see every friday afternoon on my way home from work should be arrested for noise complaints?

From what I observe in Canada today, the likelihood is greater that someone's going to complain to shut him down if he's Christian, and certainly if it's "he" and he is visibly white. If he has a "protected" ethnicity or belief, there'll be social pressure to leave him alone. In Britain, I can easily see the complainant being written up. My theme is that we set policies to prevent making the same mistakes as Britain and France. So some level of public preaching is ok? or is it just because he's a christian?
I'm not advocating discrimination against individuals. I'm advocating discrimination against an institution, and there isn't really an argument that large parts of that institution are energetically trying to export and reinforce their political preferences. There is no moral imperative to just roll over for that shit.yes advocating that discriminating against people on the basis of their religion is a bad thing.
If it's any comfort, I don't think you're a troll at all.Ok so when radical Islam roots itself in your town remember what we are saying. And if I’m labeled a troll so be it.
That said, while a bit of caution about any single religion getting too much of a foothold may be needed,![]()
that doesn't answer my question, is some level of public preaching ok?From what I observe in Canada today, the likelihood is greater that someone's going to complain to shut him down if he's Christian,
which is made up of individuals. You want to prevent individuals from practicing their religion because you don't like their religionI'm not advocating discrimination against individuals. I'm advocating discrimination against an institution,
Sure. Do you understand the advantages and disadvantages of a bright line? I acknowledge the disadvantage that by definition there's an included side and an excluded side.that doesn't answer my question, is some level of public preaching ok?
Every association is made up of individuals. If your worry is that I would prevent people from practicing some aspects of a religion, you are correct. There are things I wouldn't allow from any religion that are right there in their respective books. So, again, it's not a discussion about zero or one; it's a point on a line.which is made up of individuals. You want to prevent individuals from practicing their religion because you don't like their religion
