I think it was glued on by the last person who had it, and the clip piece broke on me today.  Is there any good way to fix it? :-[

It happened to me the day before my grad parade, just ask for a new one, at most all you'll get is a blast of shit, they'll get you a new one, dont stress over it

the cornflake i sthe little gold badge on your beret when you start off in the forces. It is the TRIFORCE sign you get it was a recruit and upon entering your unit you get it changed to you units insignia

The Cornflake is the nickname for the tri-service badge worn on various forms of headgear for recruits.

My first cornflake broke as well. The new ones are pretty badly made I find. But like its been said just take it back and get a new one. I didn't get jacked up for it heck, the corporal at the counter even told me there made pretty bad. So he gave me an older one that's not glued together.

Small stuff like that breaks all the time in the army. get is exchanged, no muss no fuss.

Its just that I leave for BMQ tomorow, and I was planning on wearing my beret down...oh well, ill try doing a makeshift fix job and hope I can get a new one soon

I'm on weekend leave from BMQ in Chilliwack right now and so far in the first week or so 3 or 4 snapped. One guy in my unit is sikh so he just clips a cornflake onto his turban, it is an old school one that is much better quality then the ones they give out now. Oh well, not to much longer till I get rid of the stupid little thing.

I broke mine whilst trying to put it into my barret the first time, first day i had it... I just threw some epoxy on it and now it's stronger than before!

One guy on my platoon at BMQ broke his right after he did his saluting test.  Then the staff made him go up in front of us all and tell us what happened.

Forget the ' tri-service badge', what is this 'Cornflake'? Sorry, i don't understand the slang.

Ah! Nevermind, I understand now. This is a cornflake:
