Naval Programs at Marine Institute starting Jan. 2011

Hello everyone. I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything about getting selected yet for one of the Naval programs offered at the Marine Institute to start in January 2011. These programs are Marine Eng. Mech., Naval Weapons Tech., and Naval Electronics Tech. Back in Feburary I applied for Marine Eng. Mech. From what I understand my application has been processed, background and reference check complete and they are waiting on confirmation from the Marine Institute to determine which applicants get selected before I am scheduled for my medical .... etc. I was talking to a recruiter from St. John's on Monday(April 19th) and he said that a group of ppl were meeting on the previous Friday(April 16th) to select the applicants for these courses and I have not heard back from them since. I was just wondering if anyone else heard anything about if they've been selected or not. Thanks

I just called my local recruiting center and its confirmed that I am accepted as a Marine Eng. Mech. so for anyone wondering the acceptances are in!

I realize that this thread has been inactive for awhile but I didn't want to start a new one simply for this question.

I am just curious as to whether I can apply to the Marine Institute on my own for the Naval programs or do I have to go through a recruiter.
Could anyone that has applied to the Marine Institute, or who is familiar with the application process please respond.
