NCM SEP MAR ENG Aprroved Colleges

My brother is looking at this trade and was wondering if there is a list of approved colleges for this trade.  I have seen one list posted on here that only has the Marine Institute on it, surely there are more isn't there?  I know when I applied for NWT the list was quite long, I would think there would be more than 1 for Mar Eng.  Any info is appreciated.

I know this is an old topic but the work done recently justifies updating this. As it currently stands, Memorial and Rimouski are the only two recognized schools. VERY shortly, you should see the Port Hawkesbury Strait Campus of NSCC on the list. Next are the Owen Sound Campus of Georgian, Holland College in PEI and BCIT in Vancouver. This takes time and many hands (I am gradually discovering!) to make this happen.

If applying under the NCM STEP Program, as Pat in Halifax has mentioned above, there are currently only two programs which are subsidized, The Marine Institute at Memorial U ( http://www.mi.mun.ca/ ) and Institut Maritime du Quebec ( http://www.imq.qc.ca/index.php ).

If you have already completed a college program (Diploma or Certificate) in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Marine Engineering Technology, you can submit your college transcripts for review (ie; PLAR) and possibly receive some type of recognition towards the MAR Eng training.
