I think that A Corporal has given good advice.
Remember though: it is policy that grievances
are to be given to a Commanding Officer, and that
once you go over his head by getting the Minister
of National Defence involved all action ceases on
the grievance at the lower end of the chain where
the file is working it‘s way up. You can‘t officially
work both ends. At some point in the future, when
you have some more info I would recommend a call to
the Regiment. Ask for the Adjutant, and simply, politely
ask for any information he might be able to give you.
If you really feel that you‘re not getting any satisfaction
from the system, unit, CMRB, and so on, then perhaps
a call to your MP is in order, for her to inquire on
your behalf. The system is much-improved, have some faith,
but be vigilant, as the old saying goes, "Have faith above,
but row, row, towards shore."
