First is its a friends (she doesn't have a computer) so its never been connected.
I am wondering if there is away around the key lock. The PW she told me isn't working in any configuration and I'm not getting any other hints other then: this handheld computer is owned by
in which I answer with the PW she gave me

Second problem is when I initially downloaded the software (key lock wasn't an issue then) I couldn't get it to hot link for the first time. In the task bar properties I had local USB checked off.

Any help would be great here. Thanks.

I own the same particular model, it works fairly well.

easiest way around the keylock would be to simply reset the thing, but you'd lose all the data.

Depending on the OS, you might need additional USB drivers. Connect the unit to the computer and turn it on, there may be an installation prompt in the systray. You'd probably want to try getting rid of the keylock first though.

erm, sorry, was too engrossed with the forward assist debate.

But, yes, I'm assuming you found the reset tool on the stylus (if not, the black plastic cap on the stylus unscrews to reveal a small pin)

Just one more point, the first few times you hotsync it it may behave strangely and require some resetting  while the software "sorts it self out" on the hand held, so don't be alarmed at this, after the first few times it should work smoothly
