Hello,

Recently, looking for something on eBay, I've seen something like a case or a pouch specially made for camelbak or other hydration system in CADPAT camouflage. The attachment system was Malice or Molle, I don't remember because I didn't pay attention when I saw this article. And of course, now I need it. I've made a lot of researches on eBay, but couldn't find it again... Classic.
The attachment was made as to be put in the back of a tactical vest, equiped with molle straps...

After many observations based on the topics of this forum, I've found something close to what I'm looking for, but it's not: it's a modular hydration pack found on Online Kit Shop (http://www.wheelersonline.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=3029). It has straps and that's not what I want...

So, could anybody tell me where I can find a pouch for camelbak with MOLLE or Malice attachment system please?!

Thanks!

I've contacted canadian peacekeeper(or CPGear as it is soon to be known as)in regards to the hydration pack you mentioned. If you go the website you will notice that this item is under modification. They told me that the next gen hydration pack will be MOLLE compadiable. The fabric is real CADPAT and they have a good warranty so it's worth the 50 bucks.
The only real problem is its designed for the platypus bladder.I've compared my platy to Camelbak bladders in regards to size and really dont notice that big of a difference,so saying that, you could buy a Camelbak bladder and the CPGear pack and have the best of both worlds.

Hello,

Thanks a lot for all these informations!!! I didn't expected someone to answer so quickly and with so much accuracy! But... the big question is: when will the next generation be available?

Thanks again!

i beleive the web site says the new catalog will be available this month, i'm thinking the end of the month

The issue Camelback

It can be daisy chained into Molle/PALS attachments.

I saw this hydration pack too on eBay ... It was not made with the real CADPAT fabric but with a commercial copy called "Jungle Stalker".

try Dave's Surplus in Vancouver, their website is Dave'sarmysurplus.com. They carry the Tactical Tailor line of pouches (in CADPAT!) and they have a Camelback carrier in CADPAT with MOLLE/MALICE. They will send it right out to you.

The only real problem is its designed for the platypus bladder.

Whats wrong with the Platypus? I've had mine for a year and I actually use it (20 k hike-in camps, eg. Blackfoot Cooking Lake Provincial Recreation Area, 40 min south of Edmonton).

It's not that there's anything wrong with the Platypus bladder.I myself own a 2L Platypus "hoser" bladder and have no problems(knock on wood). In fact,as compared to my hydrastorm bladder, I have had less problems with the Platy(in regaurds to the valve and the connection to the bladder proper).
I was simply saying, and I should have been more clear, that the hyydration pack is very long(18")to accomadate the bladder and is rectangular in shape as opposed to the more high speed, low drag look of other cases out there(I was at the PPCLI Kit shop today, and the OD CamelbaK they carry is awsome!).
In other posts,It has been mentioned that the Platy is awkward to fill in a hurry, has a tendency to burst(I personally have't had a problem, but from what I can surmise,it's from improper useage)and I honestly dont trust the Big zipper type closure on the "Big Zip" type.
On the "hoser" I own I can say honestly that itis a very deliberate act to fill,as opposed to the big opening on my hydrastorm, which gives you a little more "dribble"room.
On the positive, the Platy's polyurethane(I can spell that, but can't spell simple words! :D)makes every drink taste fresh as when you put it in there and the valve is perfect(no moving parts, nothing to break!).
Some people prefer a well known brand name and that fine.
(You know I have a small world here in Wain World, when I'm really concerned about my bladders

Thanks to all for all these informations!
To Westie47: But, with the risk of looking idiot, I couldn't find any Cadpat Camelback carrier on Dave's Surplus or Tactical Tailor...

Send an email to Martin or Colin at Dave's. They'll hook you up. Also look on ebay - type in Cadpat and you may find them there. Dave's sells alot on ebay as well.  Tell them Dean sent you.
