Mod Squad - if you know a better place for this, pls move at your discretion....
I'm doing a bit of an open source survey on the recent SAM attack on a UK Herc, and was looking for a reasonably authoritative reference outlining how Blowpipes ended up in the hands of the muj in the "we're shooting at the Soviets" days. For example, I found this pretty comprehensive piece on the USA and their Stinger legacy in AFG:
Kuperman, Alan J. “The Stinger missile and U.S. intervention in Afghanistan,” Political Science Quarterly, summer 1999, Volume 114 No. 2, pg. 219, viewed at http://milnewstbay.pbwiki.com/f/PN19990922010002806.pdf . (Kuperman 1999)
I've Googled myself out (all I could find is third- or fourth-hand references to documents either no longer online, or never the case), and hope someone here can help. OPEN SOURCES ONLY, IDEALLY WITH ACTIVE URL/LINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Open source Adobe .pdf files can be used as well.
Post, PM or e-mail to tony@milnews.ca - whichever is easiest.
Thanks TONS in advance!
