sup, im already in the canadian military but ive been thinking of joining the army cause im only a cadet right now, but i was looking at the basic enrollment requirements and i dont think im in that physical shape should i still apply or stay in my unit, currently though my unit is small so its a non-pay training, however uniforms are provided, im at the position that i need a job so i thought about joining would it be wise? :-\
P.S  im a bit nervous so if someone would kinda chat with me and reassure me/ tell me a description of what i could expect, my area of expertise are math and history but im trying to learn how 2 repair computers, i know how 2 load programs already thnx for reading this and please help me make the right choice! :l

One of the best places to start searching is the Canadian Forces Recruiting Centre (CFRC) online at http://www.forces.ca/, or your go to your nearest CFRC.

It’s doubtful 10minutes after joining the site you have read some of the helpful links that would answer many of your questions. Here are some of those links to help with your nerves:
- Milnet.ca site guidelines
- Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) - A Directory
- Recruiting FAQ: PLEASE READ BEFORE STARTING A NEW THREAD!

Remember, being a cadet DOES NOT mean you are part of the military. The cadet movement is a civilian youth organization that is supported in partnership with the military.

Hello Cadet:
The CF will boost your confidence. You will feel better, and look better. I joined when I was 16. I focused on self improvement and embraced the discipline. Although I am no longer a member, I believe the CF had a profoundly positive effect on my life.

Check out the CFRC they will tell you what the PT requirements are. If you are sitting around playing computer games your probably not going to make it. Get out and go for a jog. Run 2.4km in under 12 min. Be able to do 20 push ups, 20 situps (one extra never hurt) Check out this site.

kratz already said what I was going to.  I will re-emphasize something he already said - you are NOT "already in the Canadian military".  I STRONGLY suggest you read the links he provided.

I'll add this to what kratz has said - learn how to use the "shift" key, and lose the MSN speak (to, too, and two are NOT spelled "2", for starters).

This is a great place, filled with knowledgeable people who will help you out when they can - follow the rules and your visits here will be much more informative and pleasant.
