New Dress Regs 🤣

Black boots belong on parades, and in history books.

I'm designing my own badge to advertise how great us old retired guys were in the day. Sons of Arthritis badge I think is a good name?
Tee shirt already exists as does Sons of Ibruprophine.

Bit of a necropost, but can someone point me in the direction of where to find the RCN positional nametag instructions, and if there is specific rule for unit badges (vs the standard naval ensign).

Representing a purple unit in an out of trade job at an upcoming professional conference and would like to not have to explain several hundred times why I'm there in a navy uniform (like the last one I was at), so wondering if I could use something other than a ship badge or the ensign along with the standard positional nametag.

The new standard is the Canadian Naval Ensign, and just two lines unless you are in a senior role. The rank and position stuff went away for people below command teams or Director because it was costing too much money every time people got promoted and posted.

If you get no other replies, PM me and I can send you the name of the CPO 1 who is secretary of the RCN Dress Committee.

Okay, thanks, that's good to know. I think I'll just give it a pass then.

I was just going to get it done myself but won't bother, and the ensign doesn't really matter in this context, and was hoping to just leave it off and use the unit badge (in place of the ship badge).

I'm not sure it's not impossible to do a unit one outside of the RCN rules.

I've seen senior people from other elements with "cocktail" nametags that had unit or CAF insignia, particularly those working with other departments/nations.

Sounds like a question for the unit chief! Thanks!
