If they said to come back in MAY, then that is what you have to do.

I think the consensus is that you go and find courses to improve both your English and writing skills.

You can also Google army.ca "Past Drug Use" and read up on what others have done.

"I was doing the questionnaire and I used to smoke marijuana and I've been told to go clean my self n come back again in may , but I want to to regular force now."

Well, unfortunately what you want is not going to happen.  The CAF has a strict drug policy and you need to demonstrate you have no requirement (and are willing to give it up) for said drug.  On a second note, it is normally a poor idea to apply to the Reserves if you are trying to get into the Reg Force - usually the wait times are longer to transfer from the Reserve F to the Reg F then if you had simply applied for what you wanted in the first place.

To get better at writing, you'd need to practice and drop the "slang".  You'll notice when you signed on to this board one of the conditions here is using proper English - while no one is going to "attack" you for misspelling the odd word there is a spell check option to use before posting anything.  Not using it just makes you look lazy and there is no way anyone will believe "it's my second language" when you use words like "coz" to mean "because", "u" to mean "you", or "n" to mean "and".  There is a difference between poor English skill and laziness.  It's far better to to put in an honest effort and take the time to write legibly then to blurt out everything poorly and claim an excuse for it.

There is no way to speed up the process, as the recommendation for you to wait will likely be logged with the Recruiting Center and they will not reopen your file until the date they recommended.  You shouldn't need to redo any tests you've completed to this point.

Lol , I'm not that lazy but ya you are right
Thanks for the quick reply and the details
Im new here and I don't know how to reply on each of u

To original poster "AhmedX"

Judging by your forst name, you probably grew up in the same region i did, and english is also my second language. by no mean i think my english is perfect, but since first day i stepped a foot in Canada i have always been determined to enhance my language skill mostly by just reading and communicating more with people, and worked jobs that mainly require constant interaction with public.

Like others said, if you want to get into Regular F, then don't apply to Reserves and apply to what you want.

As for the drugs used, im not an expert, but from my own personal experience, the Capt. I spoke with during my interview after CFAT gave me a paper to sign for any previous use of (alcohol, prescription medicine, drugs, ...etc.) and said to me word for word that "the canadian forces have the right to test you for substance use ANYTIME from the moment i signed that paper".

I've never done any drugs myself (i never even smoked or consumed alcohol), but i hear that drugs can show in your blood test up to 3-6 months after use.

I would personally just wait (and work out on my fitness and language during that time) instead rushing things then possibly jeopardizing my future career. Maybe you should also ask a family doctor or get a blood check.

Best of luck with your application process Ahmed
