New Kit

I heard through my chain of command (2nd hand, so I can't fully confirm) that Reserve units will be getting the CADPAT gortex combat jacket as well as the CADPAT fleece top (as opposed to the current OD one being issues to qualified Reservists) and all Armoured Recce units will soon be getting C8's to replace their C7's (which makes sense.  In a vehicle, a C8 is much more practical) and some new C6's for their G-Wagons.

Can this be confirmed or is this just some more material for the rumor bin?

for the jacket and polar, it's confirmed...we got told to exchange our old jackets during the summer

Sounds like good news to me... I'll probably have to wait for another few years before i see it, though. I had to beg and moan to get the IECS jacket in OD as it was

My unit's been sized and rumours are we'll get them come September. September seems to be kit christmas for reserve units.... tac vests, neck gators, small packs, cadpat gloves. September is my new favourite month.  ;D
