Next Selection Board?

Hey everyone, I just called the CFRC for an update on the status of my file, and I've been Merit Listed (for INF031). Does Anyone know when the next Selection Board is set for?

Why didn't you ask CFRC when you were just talking to them?

As far as I know there is no longer any selection boards for certain trades such as Infantry and CFRCs can select suitable candidates locally.  Kingston is probably waiting for CFRC Ottawa to make the selections.

Thanks Kincanucks. The recruiter said that because I already recieved a conditional offer after writing the CFAT (guess that means I did well) I should hear from them fairly soon.

Most of the CFRCs are doing a weekly selection on the occupations that are set for local selection.  This varies, depending on how many staff are away, and what other work is being done.  Right now a lot of staff are away on training.  Check back with the office after another week.

Unfortunately, I don't think that my CFRC does selections locally, the recruiter told me that they are finished with my application and that my file has moved "above them, to the next level". He didn't really explain what he meant by that. I can only assume that it means my file has moved into another "pool" of applicants. (I'm listed for Infantry031 if that makes any difference.)

Kingston is a detachment of CFRC Ottawa and CFRC Ottawa makes the selections as mentioned here:

BrockVegas, don't worry about it. The selection for 031 is done weekly and because we are short on staff as BC mentionned it may take a little longer. CFLRS hold BMQs year round so you'll likely get a call in the next couple of weeks to tell you to get packing... Good luck.

OK, thank you to everyone for your input. And just so everyone knows, I don't normally post questions of such a "newbie" quality. It's just that since finding out that I've been merit listed, and that I've done everything that I can on my end of it, the "waiting game" has gotten a bit harder.

To be completly honest, the only other times that I've been this excited were 1) Before my wedding, and 2) Before I leave for deer hunting.

I've unfortunately inherited my "anticipation nerves" from my father. Not as bad as him though, he threw up before both my brother's and my weddings, and before his granddaughter was born.
