No course available- Still chance of summer employment?

Hey,

Due to lack of space, I can not take my trades course this year. Is it possible to still do general duties during the summer as a private with only SQ completed? I was thinking something along the lines of OJT for my trade somewhere or a tasking of some type.

Any info on this would be appreciated,

Through your chain of command you could possibly request a GD tasking. It might help if you told us where you were from and what your trade is. For SQ trained pers there are duties which you can perform.

I'm an RMS clerk, from LFCA. What type of duties do I have to look forward too?

You can probably do most General Duties tasks, but if you ask, maybe you can do both GD & get some OJT as a clerk. I can't answer you on what may or may not be the kinds of duties you're employed in, but your chain of command (through your orderly room) can probably help you out.
