Hey everybody, a few weeks ago I called the CFRC Toronto because I was having some technical issues with my online application and the helpline number directed me to them. The man who picked up the phone didnt answer my question but he did inform me that they had received my file and that I should expect and email in a week or two. Since then I have not received any form of contact from them. Should I call them to see whats up or just keep waiting?

never hurts to pick up a phone and show interest - imho, give them a call - the sooner you know there is an issue the better, and to the contrary - if there is no issue, you will be able to wait patiently :)!

I just tried calling I think there may be something wrong with their phone every time I press the number to talk to a recruiter i just brings me back to the beginning

Hey Rohandro,

I applied online too: my file was transferred to my local RC in May, and I waited until July to get the initial email. Should you get through by phone (I noticed Toronto doesn't list an email), you'll likely be told to wait. Now if 30 days have passed since you last called, try again. But trust me, all you can possibly do is wait at this point (they have your file, they will contact you).

Out of curiosity, what sort of "technical issues" were you having? If you didn't get the specific issue(s) resolved, or recieve an explanation, it might be wise to make sure any problems encountered during the application process before or during submission receive appropriate attention.

My online application was saying that my login was disabled and to call the recruiting centre, the recruiter told me that I wouldnt need to access the file again anyway since all the contact i would be having was with them and that i need not worry about it

I received the same message on the online application as well. I applied about a week ago, faxed in my documents and then when the message popped up on my online account... I called my local CFRC and turned out they now had my application.
Unfortunately my first trade choice is closed, and my second and third are not high priority, so the recruiter I spoke with told me to expect a bit of a wait to find out with regards to an email or constant. She did encourage me to call periodically though...
So yeah, probably wouldn't hurt to call or send an email to your cfrc.

You could consider picking a trade that's in demand.

I talked a friend into joining a trade that's in demand and fromher online applicationĀ  to her medical was 2 months.

Ah. From your earlier post, I was under the impression that the concern wasn't addressed at all. But if you were told you shouldn't need to worry about it, that's good. Best of luck.

Hey guys ive tried to call and email the CFRC Toronto but the recruiter hasnt replied to my email (He usually replies the next day). And when I called and pressed the number on the dial pad to talk to a recruiter it would loop me to he beginning and not put me through to a recruiter. Is there some sort of technical problem going at the toronto detachment because the problem with the phone has been happening to me since last week

thanks
