It didn't go to the SCC.  It got tossed on a BS charter argument, saying her rights were violated.  Just another example of how Liberals and their ilk are not held responsible for their crimes.

The bottom line, unfortunately, is that in Ontario it isn't really against the law to drive drunk, given how easy it is to beat it in court.  Seems the judges are pretty excited to get these people back on the road in short order.
 
How about that Toronto area woman lawyer who weaseled out of a moving violation because the no-left-turn sign only had the times in English and not French - despite the fact she was an Anglophone who didn't speak French?
