No "Support our Troops" Billboard, Magnets Allowed - by CF

Oh man, I feel stupid.  :-[

I made a mistake in an above post - the Christmas Card campaign was started by the Canadian Coalition for Democracies, not the National Citizens Coalition.

I'm sorry for posting wrong info here, and I'll try to make it right. Anyway, that website was www.canadiancoalition.com NOT www.morefreedom.org
If I had a clown wig, I'd put it on now.
What the CCD was pretty much as I described, however, use a bait and switch to turn 'supporting the troops' into 'support our politics.'

Notwithstanding my crappy memory (good thing I keep old e-mails), I still feel what the NCC is doing is wrong, it's just that this to my knowledge is their first kick at the cat.
Basically the NCC and CCD are/were up to similar things with slightly different methods.

Doh! Nothing like sounding off without airtight facts.

I find it very shady that they do not mention what your donation will be used for.  The closest it comes is saying "Your generous contribution to this campaign will help provide much needed support and assistance to the families of Canada’s fallen soldiers.  "

What does this mean?  They will send cash?, or just a letter of condolence?  It's all support and assistance.

Its a pretty vague description of "how" this will benefit the people they say it will benefit.

And the p

Great intentions, but where's the proof in the pudding type thing?

Not enough details NCC, sorry....

www.morefreedom.org is a political organization with many political platforms, not just soldiers. That being true it is completely, inappropriate. They should start a seperate org dedicated to soldiers, otherwise it is kind of creepy.

Well if that's the case Nemo...I agree...for soldiers and soldiers only, no political undertones required
