(Not so) New CAN web page "canadianally.com"

Appears to be a new GoC page (version français) dealing with Canada's military.  Am I the only one getting a vague, slightly off feeling from the look of the page - all the GoC stuff in place, but not "feeling" like a GoC page?  Or am I just tired at the end of a long week?

It's bona fide, but by no means new.  It's aimed at the US defence community, which is why it might seem a little unusual compared to other federal government websites.

Beat me to the punch. I remember looking at this site at least 3-4 years ago. I think I recall it was set up by the gov't in response to the US invasion of Iraq. I guess there was the perception (at least in the US), that since we did not support the invasion of Iraq, we were not pulling our weight in the war on terror. IIRC the gov't put up billboards, posters, etc. around places like DC directing people to the website.

CanadianAlly.com is an electronic newsletter maintained by the Canadian Embassy in Washington, DC, designed specifically for an American audience.
