Expect BANC (BACSOC?) 0901 sometime in the Feb/Mar timeframe.  Some things will be changed for 0901...I can't remember too many specifics but I remember them telling us that Inertial Nav System won't be covered in as much detail.  Be thankful for that.  ;D

Right now, they're calling the course ACSO 0901.  There are only going to be minor changes to the course made starting with ACSO 0901 including Phase 1 being reduced to 5 flights on the CT-142 from 7, use of the Tactical Display System in Phase 3 and a few other minor changes.  When they finally remove the excess detail on the INS is anyone's guess.  The latest that will happen (and most likely I think) will be with the full course rewrite that starts with a new ACSO QS being written starting in June or thereabouts.

I heard that at one point they were looking at changing the name of the school to Canadian Unified Navigator Training School. You do the math on that acronym.

Pure rumour (or joke, who knows) but CF Aircrew Specialist School was considered.  Again, check the acronym.
