Orthodox Christianity in BMOQ

Hello, I am a 1st year university student interested in becoming of a officer for infantry. My question is does BMOQ hold any orthodox Christianity litgury? And what's the environment like for orthodox Christians in that does BMOQ hold any services that pertains to Orthodoxy?

The BMOQ course does not hold religious services.

My (dated) experience with that type of coursing is that religious services are accommodated, in the sense that you will be afforded reasonable time to attend religious services.

In terms of what religious denomination services are available on a given base, that depends on what padres are posted there. If you speak to any of the Padres, in my experience, they will bend over backwards to help you find a service that works for you.

BMOQ and BMQ in St Jean both have the option with staff permission to attend religious services at the chapel in the Mega. There is usually a Catholic service and a more non-denomination service. And the padres serve coffee and timbits!

I agree. The point that I made badly earlier is that religious services themselves are not part of BMQ/BMOQ. Time to attend is usually afforded, but that is based entirely on the training schedule.

That's fair. I had a hard time understanding that you were not saying there are no services at BMQ/BMOQ.
When indoc was 5 weeks, sunday services were one of the few times you could escape your platoon, and even if you weren't affiliated with a denomination, you were welcome. The chaplains were fine if you fell asleep, just don't snore.

I have heard of orthodox father's in the Padre core, but yet to meet one. Met a rabbi. I grew up orthodox, but long not practicing... most Padres are Catholics or somewhere sect of Christianity, just not orthodox, abd as you know orthodox or not the same from different cultural traditions. All our services were not in English.

Closest place to attend an Orthodox service from St-Jean is in Montreal. Depending on whether you are Greek, Russian or Coptic, it will take a varying amount of time to get to, also depending on how much road construction there is on the way and whether you have your own means of transport or must rely on public transit.

All in all, I don't know if they would allow you that much time away
