P-Res ACISS DP1 Dates

Hello,

I see that the P-Res ACISS DP1 that starts in May runs over a 78 day period and the other courses in July/August run for 67. The July/August courses also appear to have Mod 2 canceled. Why the huge discrepancies in the courses?
Also, what the options for Mod 2? I heard that guys from last year could request to do complete Mod 2 at their home unit. Is this possible?

I can't comment on the discrepancy wrt the trg time, but CFSCE is currently experiencing a shortage of serviceable vehicles for Mod 2 and have passed it to the units to complete.  Students are sent back to their home units with a package that lists the POs they have to finish as well as a checklist for the supervisor to sign off on.

I was at CFSCE last summer, and we definitely experienced a shortage of serviceable vehicles. We even had a shortage of unserviceable vehicles, partially due to a certain bushwhacking incident. I heard ACISS DP1.0 was going down in Borden? I can confirm the word on OJT mod 2 has made it down to the unit level.

Thank you both for your comments. I again got the blank look when inquiring about MOD 2 being completed at the unit so I've requested to not be loaded on MOD 2.
Honourbound, I haven't heard of any location change to Borden. Do you think the change will be made for the May start? Any information would be helpful.

I'm in a similar position as you, and therefore know just as little. The only advice I can give is rely on your chain of command to give you all the opportunities they can to advance your career. The onus is not on you to secure a course loading, so try not to worry about things you can't control  Just be the best you can be.
