Sharing this with the question thrown out there - does "allied troops" mean PAK plus NATO, or PAK plus tribal forces?  I'm guessing if it was the former, there would be more than just this MSM reference.

PESHAWAR: Allied troops’ movement on Pak-Afghan borders in North and South Waziristan has geared up. while the tribesmen viewing the situation threatening have started shifting from the bordering areas.

Hundreds of Allied troops armed with their choppers, tanks, mortars and high-tech weapons have arrived at the Pak-Afghan borders.

Sources said that hundreds of Allied troops armed with their helicopters, tanks, mortars and high-tech weapons have started arriving since last night near the bordering areas Ghulam Khan, Shawal, Amir Chapsar and Alwara. Allied forces warplanes were also seen hovering over these areas, sources said.

Following the arrival of Allied troops and hovering of the aircrafts in the sky, the tribesmen fearing the worst have started evacuating these bordering areas.

On the other hand, Utmanzai tribe leader, Haji Muhammad Afzal has announced in a Jirga that if the Allied forces dared to step in the tribal land, then the 2 million strong tribesmen would forcefully retaliate with shrouds wrapped on their heads.

End.

The article linked doesn't support your subject line. There is no reference at all to troops in Pakistan and even a warning to stay out of tribal areas, something they of course couldn't do if there were already inside them.

That said, subject line edited - thanks!

Judging by the tone of the article, allied= means NATO, sounds like the rumour mill is going 24/7 there and getting people worried, this is a good thing, constant rumours with nothing happening will lead to some of the bad guys ignoring warnings till it's to late.

I notice in this article that Pakistan is threatening NATO, which is there under the UN, so Pakistan will attack the UN, this should be good.

My biggest worry is logistics, with most of our stuff coming through Pakistan they hold a knife to our throats or at least believe that they do. I hope that planning is underway to create other supply lines and start moving material through them. I think the less we depend on Pakistan the better.
