well. today i did treadmill for first time, and i thought i was gonna bomb! i have been practising cardio on the ski machines and not running. the other day i went running and it didnt seem like i ran so far, so today i decided to run on treadmill... had to get the pretty lady next to me to show me how to use it ;) . anyways i ran like 2 miles in 20min easy i could have ran that in like 14min if i knew it was gonna be so easy.anyways i was all paranoid in not being able to run 5km like they want us to run.. but it you really think about it thts pretty easy stuff. anyways the point is. the 5km run isnt as scary as i thought it was gonna be tomarrow im gonna run full out for the 2.5km run and record my time im gunning for 8min:) wish me luck. ive been practising cardio for the last 2weeks:) :sniper:

WOW!! 2.4 km (1.5 miles) in 8 mins....
If you can pull that off with 2 weeks of cardio training you are the "CHAMP". I consider myself in good shape and have been training my *** off for the last 2 months.Im at around 10 mins for a 2.4 km run (timed last week).

The program i am currently using is from a book written by Stewart Smith (former seal). It‘s a 12 week program that is crazy intense.Hundreds up pushups, situps and running. The running is fantastic, it includes 3,4,5,6 mile runs aswell as sprints for speed.

If you really want an intense workout and amazing results i highly recommend buying one of his books. For my PT test in January i did 43 pushups and 39 situps.2 months later my pushups are at 61,situps 58 and chinups 18.......

I know my personal results are irrelavent to this post, but since the post was about fitness i figured i would post them.

Good luck with the running JOKER...and also in ST.JEAN

Mike.

Also Joker if you are running 5km right from the start watch out for Shin Splints.I had a problem with them in Highschool and they are a B**** if you don‘t look after them.I recommend running only 2-3 km for the first few weeks(especially if running on pavement). After a few weeks of the pounding you should be able to up the dosage of Km‘s...........

Take care of those legs and feet.

2.4km run in 10min thats some fast **** keep up the good work also... forgot to mention that

I pushed myself to the limit this morning and completed the 2.4km run in 09:21 min.It was the hardest run i think i have ever done. The last lap and a half around the track i thought my bloody legs were going to fall off.I was very pleased with my time and thought i would post it.
