I was wondering what determines your pay level when you are a Corporal or Chief Warrant Officer.

Corporal have 2 pay levels 5A and 5B.

Chief Warrant Officer has 3 pay levels, 8A , 8B , 8C

cheers

5A = Corporal
5B = Master Corporal

8A = CWO
8B = CWO on the Senior Appointments List
8C = Canadian Forces CWO

Well that was a stupid question... I missed that completely.

Ok well then it looks like Corporal at pay increment 4, takes a  pay cut when he gets promoted to Master Corporal? Thats what confused me at the first place...
