B&S Ball= Batchlor's and Spinster's = an outdoor swillfest (from hell).

B&S Balls are a part the Australian culture, and are nothing but fun. Huge country parties, this one had many hundred or so, all held in the local showgrounds.
Friday night I was bored and decided to travel to a country town named Wooroolin, out west about a three hour drive.
I arrived about midday, paid the entry fee, found a place to party with a bunch of ferals who drive for hours to go to these things.
During the day, there was a ute muster, a drivers course to go mad on, and the XXXX Gold and Bundy flowed constantly. I met lots of interesting people. It was cold on Saturday night, about 7 or 8C. An outdoor BBQ dinner, and dance w/ live band followed, then the partying fell back into the campsites, fires blazed and things carried on til sunrise.
Breakfast in the morning, left at 0800h, home by 1100h, slept off the rest of the day with my cats.
