Are they talking in the liquified state? Every thing I read has output in the cubic meters not in barrels> That would seem to be about one large tanker per day. Does Keyera own that level of delivery at the harbour or does this mean another loading facility will be built somewhere?

I truly don't have a clue to be honest, but anytime we can export more products to others beyond our shores is a 'win' in my books.

This would be liquified tank cars. Not sure if this would be delivery to Prince Rupert or Vancouver. But could also go via US ports if required. Or move east as it's rail networks which means a certain amount of adjustment as needed.

It's also a more targeted product flow than Natural Gas (propane and butane products were in the article) which means they're focused on some of the higher value products from Natural Gas wells.

And just to make it more confusing oil tends to be reported in barrels but gas products they use cubic feet (US), cubic meters (Canada), or thermal units (Europe. 1 barrel ~ 6,000 cubic feet or 170 m3 or ~ 6 gigajoules of energy/5.7 million British thermal units.

Prime Minister Mark Carney has laid out prerequisites for a possible new oil pipeline from Alberta to the British Columbia coast after B.C. Premier David Eby warned the project would reward separatist behaviour.

PMMC is sending signals Eby should probably opt for carrot, and get on board so projects they want can get moving too.

But Carney said that while Ottawa will “adjust to what people want” based on discussions similar to the one with Eby, it is essential that a resolution is found in a timely manner on topics such as the pipeline and others.

“Look, we’re the federal government,” he told the board of trade. “It’s a big country. There’s lots of things going on. Life’s about time management.

“But if things get stalled here, we’re going to be spending more time elsewhere in the country because we need to move forward. We need to invest at scale in the country.”

I know it’s ‘words’ right now and not ‘deeds’ but the mere fact that he uttered that phase is refreshing. The last tentant at Rideau Cottage never said anything like that.

Economic benefit can easily be 5% ownership with a constant quarterly dividend payment, along with some training and employment.

I would emphasize the employment and training. The money is useless if all you can do is sit on the front porch and drink the beer it provides. Nothing better for the self-esteem than coming home at 6:00 completely bushed from your own efforts

100% true.
Sadly the training and employment angle tends to get less glamour than the bling bling side of things.

I fully support the approach of ‘teach a person to fish and they’ll never go hungry’ vs ‘give a person a fish and they’ll eat for a day.’
