Political impacts of Ukraine war

IF they get admitted into the EU the crack down in corruption will be intense.
Though not perfect, EU standards and policies have hugely cleaned up overall corruption levels throughout the former Warsaw Pact nations, and elsewhere in Europe.

I have a hard time imagining any agency being this aggressive towards corruption in the US or Canada as the Ukrainian agencies are.

It’s an existential thing for them. Cracking down on corruption is directly tied to their ability to further integrate into multilateral bodies and agreements that will help buttress them against aggression, and rebuild their country.

That harbour is a "Target Rich environment"

I think submarine nets and gate vessels are due for a rebirth.
I'm shocked they didn't have those in place already

It is possible that there are nets there, however the gaps in those nets might not take into account of the sizes of modern UUV's. My Google-fu says they (the net gaps) can range from 1-8ft in size.

There is also the other massive elephant in the room, the fact that the footage was recorded through their own security camera. The boxes appearing is machine vision (AI) picking out navel vessel shaped things in real time, which may have also been from the Ukrainian's side of things.
