I've decided that I am going to join the military as part of the medical/ health crew. My dad has been in the military for roughly my entire life so I got a lot of basic information about the military from him but as he was not in the medical field the advice and information only went so far.
I am looking into applying for the med tech position but all the information I have about that comes from the forces.ca website. Its been very helpful but obviously the main goal of that website is to sell the military and make anyone who views it want to join.
Is there anyone out there who has any position in the medical field that could give me a little more insight into what actually happens on a daily basis? Med techs would be preferred because no doubt they know more about their job than anyone else but anyone in that field who could help me out even a little bit would be great.
Thanks!

Actually, the suggestion you were given in the Recruiting forum was to start your research here.

He meant this is the place to start your reading and information collection.  Once you have reviewed all the threads here that interest you you will be more prepared to ask specific questions to help will in any gaps in what you want to now that you didn't already find.

Welcome to the forum.

Yes, I know, but the purpose of by post was to get med techs or other medical professionals to give some insight on what its like being in their position so I can know what the job is actually like from the perspective of someone in it. I wanted personal feedback, people answering my post with experience from their everyday life as a military medical professional.

And they will answer here now since the other thread is locked.  Keep in mind that overly general questions may not get a lot of responses.  If you refine your questions, and start from the information already posted, you might get more specific responses.

For example, have you found these?:

Life of a Canadian Forces Medical technician
What to expect as a New Medical Officer

Use the search function, and you may find your answers before someone has to retype them just for you.

Got the "Warning - while you were typing a new reply has been posted."

I'll throw this out there to expand a bit on what was just posted above...

You won't get personal feedback until you've done your research, and, like Mr. O'Leary said, ask specific questions.

"What's life like for a MedTech?" is a general knowledge question that I'm sure has been answered here before.  Use the search function, immerse yourself in what has already been posted, and then come back with specific questions that haven't been asked or answered yet.

This kind of forum etiquette is one of the things that makes army.ca a great source of info.  It ensures that people who come after you don't have to sort though 200 threads asking the same questions to look for the information they need.

Alright, thanks for the advice everyone.
I actually hadn't realized I was able to search and sort through them. I did look at those two links and the first helped but about the second, a medical officer would be a different position than a medical technician, right?

Additionally, you can read the Site Guidelines, as you agreed to do when you joined here. They would tell you what we expect, here, and how to go about doing it.
