Couldn't really find anything pertinent using the search function.  And no one from my unit, who has gone through it is available to answer this for me at the moment.  So currently slated to start pretraining for TF1-10 in sept, my question is, is it considered TD or an Attached Posting?  And if its the latter, what exactly does Attached Posting entail?  Do I have to pay room/board while on pretraining?  Am I entitled to TD?  Any links to appropriate Refs would be appreciated as well.

We had guys doing Pre-Training last Fall.  They were on Class B, at the Unit, ensuring that they had their IBTS done and that they were DAGing Green.  They did not go to join the BG in Pet until five or six months later.

Generally, if you are paying to maintain a primary residence elsewhere you will not be required to pay for quarters.  On TD you would receive meals and incidentals (reduced if beyond 30 days); on Att/posting you'd get a reduced incidentals rate, and meals only if you were married.

This is all from memory without the refs in front of me, so take it with a grain of salt.

You do not have to be married to get meals on att

Reservists sent to 2CMBG for pre-training are put on Class C service and given TD for the duration of their stay. At least, that was the case for Rotos 2 and 6.. Roto 9 should be no different.

Even though my pre-training was 8 months, which should imply an attach posting vice TD, all reservists were considered TD.
