PRES, Awaiting training after initial enrolment?

When joining the PRES, rec or officer, what typically do you do until you start BMQ (in some cases I understand it can be months).

Do you attend only admin nights? Are you shown how (assuming you dont know already) how to wear/utilize kit and thus expected to come uniformed?

Do you attend lectures, or do you basically sit around doing grunt work for whoever needs help?

Esp. interested in the officer side, but both will do

I can only speak to what we have done.  Currently there are 2 non trained officers and what has been done, it to include them in as much as we can.  This includes lectures on map and compass, field craft, orders, etc.  We also utilize any special skills that they have from the civilian side.

Physical Training, build your endurance, your upper body strength. If you are physically above average it is easier than being at the minimum standard.
