greetings

I've recently realised that the user name cited in the small subtext that says we've edited our posts does not follow our user name changes all the time, any way this could be fixed?

Ex:

http://forums.army.ca/forums/threads/54098.0
http://forums.navy.ca/forums/threads/54239.0

In both of these, my old user name appears on the small text for edits, this is embarassing because I was using my real name at the time and as a result it appears when I type it on google. (I don't mind being associated with the site, it's the fact I appear on a search engine that makes me irky.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, there is no easy way. I manually edited the posts with your old username in them and could edit more if you knew the references, but there is no automated way to wipe out your old username.* It's unfortunate, as in addition to your privacy concerns, it makes it difficult to follow older threads where users have changed their display names.

* The real answer is that yes, this is technically possible with some database scripting, however there is a risk that a small typo could nuke every message ever posted here (it happened once before). It's not a risk I'm comfortable taking.
