and also i would also like to point out that pr.bush owns over 20.000 shares in the sherman tank company
who did the majority of the development on the tank so of course he doesn't want that info being made
public

as dirt Monkeys and zipper heads i say don't believe every thing we r told we r on a need to know

and the top brass do not want us to know

my heart go's out to all that lost there lives in these pictures and there family's

Your first link wouldn't open. As for the second. I see some tanks that had engine fires. I see some that are "disabled" by mine strikes. I see one that is disabled, maybe destroyed by and alleged RPG. Unless they are burnt to the ground and cannot be rebuilt, they aren't destroyed. Semantics, maybe, but the argument holds more water than your unsubstantiated pictures. Besides, if you wish to debate the technical aspects, you'll likely get lots of discussion. If you want to spout anti Bush rhetoric, or Imperialist Industrial Conspiracy Theories, you've picked the wrong place and will probably be ignored, no matter how well you post. Speaking of which, try the spell check and some punctuation and grammar. I had a hell of a time reading what you were trying to convey, maybe I got it wrong.

I have to agree with recceguy, there are a lot of pics of battle damaged vehicles.  Nothing surprising about that.  I only saw one picture of a burned out M1 but even still, one tank for a whole campain isn't too bad at all.  Hell, we've had vehicles catch fire sitting in a hanger. 
As an aside, it sound to me that you are listening to a few too many conspiracy theories.

i am not trying to be anti bush.

just trying to point out that many m1a2's have been destroyed in combat.

is being taken out by a mine not combat ?

or is a tank being hit by a rpg..........then burning out not destroyed in combat ?

i agree that the pictures are some what easily explained away
as engine fires. but as a hole they paint a differant picture as to what we are told
the conspiracy theories have an origin with in a lie/or miss direction

and if the statement is "no m1 has been lost in combat in the recent gulf war actions" then it is miss direction
but putting that aside one of the pictures (well set of pictures) clearly shows the turret side storage box has been hit by a rpg
what ever is in side is ablaze and the resulting fire clearly has spread and as a result the tank is out of action "destroyed"

the point of it can be rebuilt like you said is semantics.

but to say that it can be rebuilt.
its not like replacement of the track or road wheels or a side skirt its a complete refitting
at a cost well above the norm of minor/normal combat damage and will be out of use/combat
is its self means the its beyond use "destroyed" is miss direction.

my point you ask well.

I'm not anti America or anti bush.
but strongly believe that miss direction is a lie
note that they did not use the the words" destroyed" they used the words lost  which means " misplaced missing or damaged to a point of which it no longer functions DESTROYED"

but as you said semantics.................!
